Ecuador from the Heart launches an annual 50/50 Charity Raffle each October with the winner being announced in December. This is a fun and interactive event that is available to people living in any country in the world. The funds help to keep our support groups operating while allowing us to respond to emergencies as they come up.
The Rules:
The 50/50 Charity Raffle Rules are noted below. Proceeds from the raffle will be used for Christmas baskets ongoing projects in the Salinas, La Libertad and Santa Elena areas in the south coast of Ecuador.
- Under 18 years of age are not eligible.
- The ticket winners for the early bird draws will be re-entered for the grand prize.
- Grand Prize draw date will be: December 29, 2023 at 4 pm . Ticket sales close 15 minutes before draw.
- 9 Early bird draws will take place as follows: (times will be announced prior to each prize draw date).
- Oct 29 – Body Products from Naturela Nails, Beauty and Spa
- Nov 5 – Body Products from Naturela Nails, Beauty and Spa
- Nov 12 – Body Products from Naturela Nails, Beauty and Spa
- Nov 19 – $40 Gift Certificate from Cava’s Sports Bar
- Nov 26 – $30 Spa Treatment from Naturela Nails, Beauty and Spa
- Dec 3 – $30 Spa Treatment from Vanessa Veliz Styles
- Dec 10 – $50 Surprise Gift
- Dec 17 – $60 Custom Gift Basket Amazonas Customize Gifts
- Dec 24 – $100 Free book of 20 50/50 tickets from Ecuador from the Heart.
- All tickets have 10 chances of winning. Early bird prize winning tickets will be returned to the drum for a chance to win more prizes, including the grand prize.
- The grand prize of $10,000 is based on selling 4000 tickets. If 4000 tickets are not sold, the grand prize amount will be equivalent to 50% of all tickets sold by Dec 29, 2023 at 3:45 pm:
- Purchasers are responsible for any transfer or fees for purchase of tickets through electronic methods. Each payment method differs in cost of transfer fees.
- Signed members of the foundation administration are not eligible to enter but volunteer workers, associates, suppliers, non-immediate family members are able to participate.
- Purchasers are responsible to ensure the proper exchange rate is considered when purchasing tickets. The final ticket price is $5 USD after exchange and any transfer fees. It is suggested that one will work together with family and friends for one point of contact in your country. Pool the resources and send the transfer at one time, to help minimize transfer fees.
- Winners are responsible to understand the tax implications in their own country in terms of receiving their winnings.
- Winners are responsible to pay any taxes their country may charge.
- Winners are responsible to pay any transfer fees to receive their prize amounts.
